You got me curious. I thought maybe they had slightly different meanings or something, but I guess not. Maybe because some people don’t know what both words mean, so they include them both for completeness. Reply
You never worked with cops. These are the same guys who say “high rate of speed” and spell “vessel” B-O-A-T. Reply
Actually.. Cease means to stop, but with the potential to continue after doing so. Desist means to refrain from doing something again. So, cease and desist is to stop and not start up again.. Reply
