Someone left a salad out over the weekend, and there’s now an infestation of ants on the next row over.
Keep in mind, we’re on the third floor.
Aieeeeee.

I finally renewed my domain name. Then, I realized my address was still my old apartment, so I updated that as well. The problem is that for every change I make, NSI sends not one, not two, not three, but FOUR emails.
1) We received your request, and will be shortly sending you a form to return to us.
2) Here is the form, please make sure everything is correct.
3) We received a form requesting a change, we’re just letting you know, just in case someone is spoofing your account, please verify.
4) We received your verification, thank you.
So I now have 8 emails from them at the bottom of my inbox.
On another, more positive note… I went to Berkeley on Saturday for a Warren Ellis signing. Supposedly his only signing in America this year, although I heard otherwise. I got my three items signed, asked my one question, then went across the street and ate a crepe, then bought some stuff at Games of Berkeley and got back on BART and went home.
Here’s something for you all to look forward to. For the last three days, instead of deleting my spam, I’ve been saving them to a folder. In four more days, I’m going to show the world just how much spam I get in a typical week. Prepare yourself….
For the third Thursday in a row, a bunch of us have gathered at a karaoke bar and taken it over.
The situation is a bit weird, though. It’s a sake bar / Japanese restaurant, but on Thursdays, the owner of one of the nearby karaoke box places that was shut down because their lease wasn’t renewed brings his equipment and sets it up in the bar and everyone sings until 2a.m.
Did you get that?
Well, I missed last week, but as a group, we’ve been there en masse since they started three weeks ago. Last night, I was the designated driver, as usual, but that meant I couldn’t leave until they had done their thing, which of course meant sticking it out until the bitter end.
When I finally get home at 2:30, I go to bed, but then get caught up in reading the new comics I bought that day. I fall asleep at 3:30.
I never ate dinner that night. Man, I am so hungry right now.
The three day weekend is over. Poopie.
I spent most of yesterday at home trying to shake off a sinus headache which is still lingering, and had to miss
Following my weird inclination to play Super Metroid, I played and beat Super Mario World on Saturday and Sunday. I’m now working through Super Mario World 2. Who needs a PS2 when you have an SNES?
I sorted most of my M:tG cards over the course of the weekend. Damnation, I sure have a lot. It’s like gambling… you don’t spend the money to make money, you’re spending it to have fun. And it’s been fun, really it has. I finally won a prize for the first time in a long long time at the game on Friday night.
It’s weekends like these I’m glad I live with other people. Once you reach critical mass, you don’t have to worry about having to go out to be social, the people come to you. Speaking of which, when’s Nati leaving… hmmm…. that boy played waaaaaaaaaaaay too much Everquest this weekend.
Recent discussion about the future of LJ have gotten me thinking that I really should be contributing to the codebase / maintenance… writing web-based applications is something I… well, I get paid to do it, full time. You’d think I could probably have something to contribute.
I still can’t get over the fact that out of three days off, I spent probably a grand total of two hours sitting in front of the computer. Considering that on a typical evening I spend twice that staring at the monitor I consider it a good thing.
Okay, I just looked at my last name and thought it was spelled wrong when it wasn’t. This is a sign that I should go to sleep. Good night…. or maybe I’ll play some more SMW2…
