And once again, the Linux machine comes back online by itself, with uptime saying it’s been on this whole time.
Something smells…
Yeah, the burnt popcorn some dink cooked at work today.
This smell is not going away!
A new development!
This means it’s not my machine. It’s not the network card.
But the DSL modem still was responding to pings during the downtime.
The only thing inbetween the two is the switch. The switch is new.
Hmmm… why would a switch fail for a short while, and then fix itself?
