Do not buy or play Mario Pinball Land. The game looks very pretty, but it is an exercise in frustration. It is annoyingly hard to control the ball, and every time you hit the ball off the screen, the game loses track of all progress on the screen you just left, which makes certain tasks take forever.
you mario wh0re
(bought paper mario today)
Thanks for the warning. I’d suggest getting Mario Golf: Advance Tour for the GBA. If you’ve played the Game Boy Color Mario Golf, it’s a welcome improvement upon it, at least graphic-wise, and control-wise. (I.E.: It doesn’t seem as frustrating to hit good shots as its Game Cube cousin, or previous Camelot-developed golf games (Case in point, the original Hot Shots Golf for the PSX)
It only took me about 2 weeks or so to make it through to the actual end of the game, and then you can still unlock tons of cool stuff, extra holes for the “special” courses, new playable characters, and upload your characters to the Game Cube Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour game.
(Disclaimer: This is an uncompensated testimonial – Raider3 is not affiliated in any way with Nintendo of America/Nintendo Co., Ltd. I just think it’s a kick-ass game, and hey… I like golf. It just sucks that I’m better in the video games than I am in real life – I’m a 36 handicap (The highest one you can get.) and I almost always shank shots with the woods.)
I just bought Donkey Konga! It’s basically a kid’s version of Beatmania…Nonetheless, it’s really fun banging on the drums.
glad I bought Burnout 3
