The little things in life.

I am so digging iTunes 3 right now. It fixed most of the issues I had with iTunes 2.

With the amount of MP3’s I have, I can spend forever tinkering and organizing them until it’s just right… I’ll never be finished.

A weekend like any other…

Friday: Friday Night Magic as usual.

Saturday: Went to see Reign of Fire with bigdumbthing. Hoo boy, was that a waste of time. I won’t even go into the gaping plot holes here. Went to two different Fry’s and the Apple Store in Palo Alto looking for webcams for my laptop. It turns out that webcam support for OS X is spotty at best. Amusingly, when I bought something at the Apple Store, they seemed almost surprised… I guess not many people actually purchase items there.

Sunday: Got my oil/transmission fluid swapped and my tired rotated. On my car, silly. Car still needs something regarding the electrical system, it’s having trouble starting. I’m hoping replacing the battery will fix it. Finished watching X-Files Season Four DVDs. Almost caught up now. Beat Eternal Darkness (the first time through). Played some more DDR.

About an hour ago, I could have sworn that today was Tuesday. This week’s going to drag on, I know it.

Photos and leftovers

I posted my photos from Anime Expo.

I just noticed this new Macintosh LJ client I’m trying (iJournal) autodetects Music from iTunes. Whee! It also puts those squiggly lines under misspelled words (like “whee”).

My car is acting up. On the drive back up, about halfway I noticed that my clock wasn’t on. Also, I suspected my dashboard lights were off as well. Turns out it was just a burnt out fuse, but it took a while to find the right one, as it was on the “rear lights” circuit, non-intuitively.

Also, my car is having trouble starting. I’m hoping it’s just because my oil change is overdue. I must remedy this on Saturday.

I…

can’t think can’t type can’t speak can’t stay awake hope I’m not sick have an annoying muscle spasm that won’t go away want to go home can’t work want to take tomorrow off but can’t should go to doctor or something

AX Part Zero

After crashing right after working three nights in a row, I haven’t had the chance to make a full entry. Bought a lot of CD’s.

AX Day -2

So we made it to Long Beach. Of course, we passed a car chase on the way, which ended up closing the freeway down behind us.

Whee.

Once again, I don’t miss LA traffic. I’m looking forward to getting Warcraft III tomorrow. Whee! Let’s hope this whole Tabletop Gaming room works.

Adventures in Tech Support and Anime Expo, HO!

So, this year I’ll have my own laptop to make LJ entries with, and won’t have to borrow ‘s. But in order to do this, I’d need a dialup account. But, wait! Don’t we get one for free with our DSL? Wait, we don’t know our username and password! (Which has made using the NNTP server a bit… impossible.) So I call up SBC Pacbell DSL and get transferred around like a lost puppy. At one point, about 14 minutes in, I’m about to be transferred to the person who can help me, when I get disconnected instead. You know, the “Transfer” and “Drop like a bad habit” buttons are right next to each other on those Tech Support phones, so it wasn’t really her fault.

I call back, and try a different approach and get a very cheerful lady who eventually gets me to my intended destination. The nice man who she transferred me to points me to a very concise but well hidden webpage where I enter my DSL phone number, it pulls up my user info, I select a username and password, and I’m done.

So now, not only can I dialup while in Southern California, we have access to USENet again! Woo hoo!

I’m driving down to LA tomorrow morning. Whee. If anyone’s going to AX, I’ll be running the tabletop gaming room, in the Westin lobby area.

Lunch

Thai food for lunch. My lips, they buuuurn! Uh oh, food coma. Zzzz….
