Ugh.

Yesterday, this is what I did at work:

10-11: Meeting (Presentation of last two week’s worth of work)
11-12: Meeting (Review of last two week’s worth of work)
12-12:30: Lunch
12:30-2: Email, small amount of work
2-3: Meeting (Bi-weekly staff meeting)
3-6: Meeting (Planning of next two week’s worth of work)

I feel sorry for the guy who was in every single one of those meetings as me, and also had a 1-2 meeting.

And on a side note, I watched the first episode of Heroes last night, and at some point I realized, “Hey, that looks like Tim Sale’s art…”

Not much.

Just because I’m not writing entries doesn’t mean that nothing’s happening.

It just means it’s not worth noting.

I played ICO. Very pretty game, but quite short. It’s weird that now, I own a PS2 game, but don’t actually own a PS2.

I finally got my Scott Kurtz original art in the mail! I was afraid it wouldn’t make it to me because it was shipped to my old address. Fortunately, he sent it regular mail so the mail forward caught it. Maybe I’ll take a picture of it. It’s at home right now… I need to figure out what I’m going to do with it. On that note, I’ve got a few things that I need to get framed… perhaps I should just make a trip to a framing store with a bunch of stuff in-hand.

Network Solutions

I finally renewed my domain name. Then, I realized my address was still my old apartment, so I updated that as well. The problem is that for every change I make, NSI sends not one, not two, not three, but FOUR emails.

1) We received your request, and will be shortly sending you a form to return to us.
2) Here is the form, please make sure everything is correct.
3) We received a form requesting a change, we’re just letting you know, just in case someone is spoofing your account, please verify.
4) We received your verification, thank you.

So I now have 8 emails from them at the bottom of my inbox.

On another, more positive note… I went to Berkeley on Saturday for a Warren Ellis signing. Supposedly his only signing in America this year, although I heard otherwise. I got my three items signed, asked my one question, then went across the street and ate a crepe, then bought some stuff at Games of Berkeley and got back on BART and went home.

Here’s something for you all to look forward to. For the last three days, instead of deleting my spam, I’ve been saving them to a folder. In four more days, I’m going to show the world just how much spam I get in a typical week. Prepare yourself….

Kevin Smith MARATHON

Okay, well it wasn’t quite a marathon, but I finally saw Dogma on Friday night, Mallrats on Saturday morning, then watched the sneak preview of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back on Saturday night. (Just like some of you.)

I am so glad I saw Dogma and Mallrats before watching J&SBSB, because the whole movie was one long in-joke (interspersed with way too many homosexual jokes).

The large group of people is back in the house. They all gathered Thursday night, and left Friday morning to go to some big airsoft thing in Reno. No more than 30 minutes after everyone is in the house, and two people are taking showers and everyone’s in separate rooms, the circuit breaker trips… first time in this house. The scary thing is that it didn’t really take much more than we normally use on a daily basis to trip it. We’re livin’ life on the line, baby!

I started to organize my comics again today, but got most of the way through before realizing I’m going to need another longbox.

I was bored earlier today, so I hooked up ye olde SNES and played Super Metroid once through. Damn, I love that game.

SGI and Anime Central

So, my nice new flatpanel monitor has been on the fritz recently, after some playing with it, I figured out it’s one of the power supplies that’s broken, not the actual monitor… so I call SGI this morning, and after giving them all my information I hear the following words:

“I’ll just overnight you a new one.”

Man, I am so happy. This is what Customer Support is supposed to be.

On another note, today’s MegaTokyo comic is very cool…. because I was there. You can even see the Vibrating Sheep of Death in my picture.

I love in-jokes that I get. Hee hee.

Also, I gave my 30-day (well, more like 45 day) notice at my apartment today… whee.
